Service
We are a distinct and diverse community who come together as one body, joining faith and fellowship. We strive to serve God in co-creation.
We recognize the inherent worth and dignity that God has created in each of us. We strive to reflect those gifts in our actions towards one another and towards God’s wider creation. We humbly seek God’s direction in how we can partner to help each other and to make this a better world through active stewardship.
Justice & Witness
The churches and people of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ have a very long history of looking at the world and prayerfully working to make it a better place. The North Hadley Congregational Church is part of this effort.
God’s Garden
Every Sunday, on the way into the church’s sanctuary, members drop non-perishable food into our food basket for the North Amherst Survival Center. Members regularly share their time and talent to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts
Take and Eat Ministry
Once a month, 15-20 volunteers from First Congregational Church of Hadley and North Hadley Congregational Church gather at First Church to prepare, cook, package, and deliver 35-40 meals to Hadley’s homebound seniors.
Baked Goods for Soldiers
Each year on Memorial Day Weekend and on Veterans day, the church donates home baked goods to homeless Veterans at Soldier On.
