Centering Prayer is an ancient Christian prayer practice. It is a way of being prayer rather than saying prayer. There is no list of demands or inventory of gratitude. In centering we come with very little—perhaps one word, one image, one item. Most importantly, we come with one desire—to be present—to be still and silent with the Divine.
In many ways Centering Prayer is like meditation.
